That was essentially game over, but we will include post game thoughts in the next video.
Couldn’t you have pulled the scarabs from the right and moved them to engage the gargoyles? They would have made a handy shield to give your blob squad another turn or two of shooting. Also, were the spiders producing more scarabs? Didn’t really look like any were added.
For a list based around the scarab farm, I expected it to be front and center while the warriors supported it. I’d be really interested to see how it handleds mechanized lists as they’re a bit more common than nids.
Just discovered your site and really liking the articles and battle reports. Keep them comin’ 🙂
I could have done a lot of things better in that fight! Haha, I played very poorly. The Spiders were mass producing scarabs, yes, and I agree that I may have been better off playing more aggressively. Kevin just had so many creatures that could double out the scarabs in HtH that I played too conservatively.
And welcome to our site! We are glad you are enjoying it.
Great battle report.
Is not not too risky only having one unit of scarabs in a scarab farm list. How about losing one sypder with a prism to change 10 scarabs to 2 units of 7. After 2 turns they could be 15 strong each.
Just off to watch your other necron battle reports.

Thanks, Rathstar, glad you liked it! Yeah, the Scarab farm has some weaknesses, for sure. But, against your average Mechanized list, it will smash them to bits. Luckily, most Tyranid players aren’t as good as Kevin, and you don’t see them too often at tournaments.
